LinkedIn video
Turn long videos into LinkedIn clips
Short video is one of the easiest ways to show expertise on LinkedIn — but most of what you’ve already said on camera lives in long talks, webinars, interviews and podcasts that nobody will watch in their feed.
ClipIQ turns that material into short clips. It finds the moments where you make a clear point, cuts them to stand alone, and captions them for a feed where most people scroll with the sound off.
From long video to LinkedIn post
- 1
Add your video
Upload a talk, webinar or interview (up to 2 GB) or paste a public YouTube link.
- 2
Pick from the ranked clips
ClipIQ scores each candidate moment for its hook, pacing and payoff and explains every pick, so you can choose the ones that fit your audience.
- 3
Export for LinkedIn
Every clip comes in 9:16. One click exports a 1:1 square (1080×1080) for the LinkedIn feed, at 1 credit per export.
Square or vertical?
LinkedIn shows both. A square (1:1) clip works well in the feed on desktop and mobile and keeps more of a wide shot in view — good for talks and panels. The vertical (9:16) version, included with every clip, is the one to use if you also post the same clip as Reels, Shorts or TikToks.
Good sources for LinkedIn clips
- Conference talks and panels, where one strong point can travel further than the full session.
- Webinars, to promote the replay or your next event.
- Podcast and media interviews, to share your best answers with your network.
- Internal talks and all-hands, if you have permission to share them publicly.
Captions are on
Many people browse LinkedIn with the sound off, so every clip has captions burned in — they show up in the feed exactly as you see them. You can download the SRT file too.

Frequently asked questions
What size are LinkedIn clips?
Square exports are 1080×1080 (1:1). Every clip also comes in 1080×1920 (9:16).
Can ClipIQ post to LinkedIn for me?
Not yet. You download the clips and post them on LinkedIn yourself.
Does the square export crop out people?
The square frame is wider than the vertical one and follows the most prominent face, so it keeps more of a wide shot — but people at the far edges of a very wide panel shot may still be cropped.
Is there a watermark?
On the free plan, clips carry a small ClipIQ watermark. Creator and Pro export without one.
