Podcast clips

Turn your podcast into Shorts, Reels and TikToks

A good episode has a dozen moments that would work on their own — a sharp answer, a story, a disagreement. Finding them means re-listening to an hour of audio, then cutting, reframing and captioning each one by hand.

ClipIQ does that part. Upload the episode or paste its YouTube link, and it reads the whole conversation, ranks the moments most likely to hold attention, and hands you vertical clips that are already cut, framed on the speaker and captioned.

Why podcasts make great short-form clips

Podcasts are almost all speech, and that is exactly what ClipIQ works from. It picks moments from what is said, so a conversation full of opinions, stories and answers gives it a lot to choose from — far more than a video with little dialogue would.

Short clips are also an easy way for new listeners to find you: a 45-second answer on Shorts or Reels lets someone decide whether the full episode is worth their time.

What you get for each clip

  • A clip that makes sense on its own. Clips run from 20 seconds to about two minutes and end on a finished sentence, not mid-thought.
  • The speaker in frame. Wide podcast shots are reframed to 9:16 by following the most prominent face in the shot, so a speaker isn’t cut in half by a fixed center crop.
  • Captions burned in. Many people watch short clips with the sound off. Every clip is captioned, and you can download the SRT file too.
  • A score and a reason. Each clip comes with the reasoning behind its score, so you can decide quickly which ones to post.

Tips for better podcast clips

  • Use the video version. A filmed episode gives ClipIQ a face to frame. An audio-only recording has nothing to show on screen.
  • Clean audio matters most. Clips are chosen from the transcript, so clear speech gives better picks than a noisy room.
  • Post several, not one. Different moments land with different people. Posting three or four clips from an episode tells you more than one.
  • Lead with the clip’s hook. Use the first line of the clip as your post caption or title — it’s the reason the moment was picked.

What it costs

One credit is one minute of video, so a 60-minute episode uses 60 credits on the standard (Economy) engine, with every clip included.

The free plan gives you 3 videos a day and 5 clips per video, with 500 credits (500 minutes of video) to start and 30 more every week — no credit card.

Creator (₹249/week) and Pro (₹599/week) remove the watermark, allow unlimited videos and up to 15 or 25 clips per video, and add animated captions.

Frequently asked questions

Can I turn an audio-only podcast into Shorts?

ClipIQ works on video files and YouTube videos. It picks clips from the speech, but a Short needs something on screen, so a filmed episode — or its YouTube upload — works best.

How long are the clips?

Between 20 seconds and about two minutes. Each clip ends on a finished sentence, so it makes sense without the rest of the episode.

How many clips do I get from one episode?

Up to 5 per video on the free plan, 15 on Creator and 25 on Pro. ClipIQ only keeps moments that stand on their own, so a short episode can produce fewer.

Does it work for interviews with two or more people?

Yes. It chooses moments from the whole conversation, and the vertical crop follows the face of the person on screen.
